In God's name confronts the relationship between faith, violence and authority. By merging a sacred symbol with instruments of war, Anna Rex-Brandenburg exposes the contradiction of brutality justified through religion. The work does not challenge personal belief, but the use of God’s name to legitimise conflict, punishment and control. It leaves the viewer with one question: when faith becomes a weapon, what remains sacred?
