Alicia Johansson is a Swedish-American actress, model, producer and studio executive based in Los Santos. She is the owner and studio head of Vinewood Pictures, where she oversees film production, casting, talent development and distribution.
Johansson began her career in acting and modelling before taking on management positions within the Los Santos entertainment industry. She has worked with several film studios, media companies, fashion brands and music organisations.
Early life and education
Johansson was born on June 19, 1993, in Stockholm, Sweden, to a Swedish mother, Agneta, and an American father, Fred.
She developed an interest in acting during childhood, staging performances at home before participating in school productions and local amateur theatre.
After completing secondary school in Stockholm, Johansson moved to London and studied screen acting at the International School of Screen Acting. During her studies, she appeared in several student films and gained experience performing for the camera.
Move to Los Santos
Johansson moved to Los Santos in 2018 to pursue a professional acting career.
She initially lived in Morningwood and worked as a gas station clerk while attending auditions and submitting applications to local production companies.
Johansson later began receiving modelling work, allowing her to leave her previous job and support herself through fashion and commercial campaigns.
Her modelling clients included Elegance, Amiya Fashion, Nithercott Cosmetics, Slay Champagne, Magnolia Records and Anna Rex.
Acting career
Johansson began working in the Los Santos film industry in 2018, initially appearing in smaller productions before progressing to more prominent roles.
She worked with companies including Vinewood Studios, New Stories, Eiga Productions, Deluxe Productions, Marchese Films and Torwald Pictures.
Her early acting credits included Eagles, The Goon, Back and Forth and Not a Fairy Tale, all released in 2018.
She later appeared in BMX, Impact and Pulled Apart in 2020, followed by Evil and Monty Python Tribute in 2021.
Alongside acting, Johansson gained experience in casting, distribution and production management through her work with several media and entertainment companies.
Media and management career
Johansson later moved into management while continuing to pursue acting roles.
She managed the cinema division of Weazel Media Corporation under Cecily Edeline and oversaw operations at the Weazel Dorset cinema until the company discontinued its theatre division.
Johansson also worked with Magnolia Records, first as modelling manager and later as vice president. She joined the company after being approached by founder Raheme Bell in 2022.
During her time at Magnolia, she helped reorganise parts of the company while continuing to support local film productions and performers.
Vinewood Pictures
In early 2023, Johansson began co-managing Doppler Studios alongside its founder, Missy Oswald.
Following Oswald’s retirement in May 2023, Johansson assumed control of the company and became its owner and studio head.
As part of the transition, the company sold several assets, including Doppler Cinema, and relocated to smaller office and production facilities. After losing the rights to use the Doppler name, the studio was renamed Vinewood Pictures.
Johansson focused on rebuilding the studio’s production activity and expanding its roster of actors, writers and other creative professionals.
Under her leadership, Vinewood Pictures produced projects including C’est La Vie, Slay Bells Ring and Monophobia, as well as short films and commercial productions for local businesses.
Doppler Cinema
In early 2024, Vinewood Pictures regained management of Doppler Cinema.
The return to the venue was considered a significant development for the studio because of the cinema’s historical connection to the company and its role in distributing locally produced films.
Johansson has used the cinema to support premieres, screenings and other events connected to the Los Santos film industry.
Approach to casting
As studio head, Johansson has stated that she intends to provide casting opportunities to both established actors and new performers.
Although her executive responsibilities have reduced the amount of time she spends acting, she has continued to express an interest in taking roles where appropriate.
Her work at Vinewood Pictures has focused on developing local talent and creating a more stable production environment for the city’s film industry.
