Little Portola is arranged around a pedestrian-only alleyway connecting several surrounding streets. The district can be entered from Portola Drive, Eastbourne Way, Carcer Way and adjoining commercial properties.
Its buildings contain stores at street level, with terraces, staircases and open courtyards connecting different parts of the development. Vehicles are generally restricted from the central shopping area.
The northern entrance is located near the intersection of Eastbourne Way and Portola Drive. A statue of a rearing horse known as Faswan stands near the entrance and serves as one of the area’s most recognisable landmarks.
Tourism
Little Portola attracts shoppers, tourists and visitors to Rockford Hills. Its proximity to Portola Drive, Rockford Plaza and other luxury commercial areas makes it part of one of the city’s principal retail corridors.
The district is frequently used for fashion promotions, photography, private events and commercial campaigns. Its enclosed pedestrian layout also allows restaurants and businesses to operate outdoor seating and display areas away from road traffic.
Portola Drive
Little Portola forms part of Portola Drive, a major luxury shopping street in Rockford Hills.
Portola Drive extends from West Eclipse Boulevard to Dorset Drive and contains designer stores, restaurants, hotels and high-end residential properties. The southern portion of the road is primarily commercial, while the northern section is more residential.
A commemorative pavement plaque near Little Portola records the establishment of Portola Drive in 1769. The area later developed into one of the most recognisable shopping and tourism destinations in Los Santos.
